Marcela graduated from the London School of Economics (LSE) with has a Master of Science in China in Comparative Perspective, and a Master in Nonprofit Management from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She graduated with honors from Brandeis University with a dual degree in International and Global Studies and Sociology.
